Apple and Cinnamon Cake Recipe
Ingredients 185 grams of softened butter 2/3 cups of extra fine sugar 3 eggs 1 cup of whole-wheat flour ½ cup of white flour 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/3 cup of milk 1 apple, peeled without the heart and chopped 2 teaspoons of sugar 2 tablespoons of orange jam

Preparation
- Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Grease a round 20 centimeter baking pan with melted butter or oil. Wrap the base of the baking pan and the walls with wax paper.
- Mix the butter, the eggs, the cinnamon and the milk in a bowl. Beat these ingredients for 1 minute with an electric mixer at the lowest speed. Gradually increase the speed of the mixer and beat it for another 3 minutes until the mixture is homogenized and has changed color.
- Put the mixture in the baking pan with the help of a spoon and smoothen out the surface. Put the diced apples over the surface and sprinkle the cake with the sugar. Bake it for 45 minutes or until when poking a wooden pick in it, it comes out clean. Allow it to sit for 3 minutes, then place it over a metal rack and let it cool.
- Heat the orange jam in a small casserole or in the microwave until it melts. Spread it while it is still hot over the cake and allow it to cool before serving.
